Zakia - also known as Kianijee is a multifaceted artist working in the mediums of: single & multi-colored screen prints, mixed media installations, woodwork, set design, vinyl, mirrors, sonic elements, and video. Her work explores themes of detaching from social constructs, dispelling family dysfunction, and seeking an honest identity in a complex world. Engaging in profound self-exploration, Zakia aims to reshape core beliefs about her identity through building a world that reflects an intentional relationship with self.
